Port Alberni Elopement
Port Alberni BC, deemed the "worst place to live in Canada" is a hidden gem. Since moving back to become a wedding & elopement photographer in the Alberni Valley I constantly come across spectacular locations that would make a stunning backdrop for a photoshoot or elopement.
Richard and Stephanie's Michigan Lane styled elopement in Port Alberni, Vancouver Island, British Columbia was so sweet. Small and intimate and perfect. The sun was peeking through the clouds behind them as they exchanged vows in the golden lit field. After exchanging vows we followed up with a portrait session and a intimate picnic for sunset. I love small and intimate weddings/ elopements so much and this one pulled on al the heart strings and reminded me why I love being a wedding photographer here in Port Alberni.
We had an incredible team of vendors to bring this Port Alberni Wedding all together, the dress was from Qualicum based dressmaker North of Esme, if you haven't seen her gowns yet check her out, her gowns photograph so beautifully and I cannot recommend her enough to make your elopement day dress! Florals were from Comox Valley based Willow Wave, she supplied a lovely dried floral bouquet which matched the location and boho vibe so well! The Noble Grazer from Central Island provided snacks and a beautiful charcuterie board, while the simple yet perfect cake was from Port Alberni local Candice Scott, who is also a very talented photographer in the Alberni Valley. Last but not least Alixe from Michigan Lane Picnic Co knocked it out of the park with planning & styling everything. Michigan lane is a Port Alberni based small business that provides styling & curating pop up picnics for elopements and small gatherings. If you are planning a small wedding or elopement in the Alberni Valley or Vancouver Island, Alixe is your girl!
