This is me!
Hey! I'm Kea, the girl behind the lens. I am down to earth and introverted with a side of sass with a need for adventure and adrenaline.
I was born and raised on the West Coast of Vancouver Island in the small community of Ucluelet, BC. My loose upbringing of being a “Ukee wild child” is where I fell in love with nature and the outdoors. I love including BC’s incredible backdrops into my images and showing off the beautiful surroundings, sometimes having to get a little muddy along the way.
I am obsessed with the mountains and have spent a large amount of my life chasing snow. My hobbies and passions to name a few are photography, snowboarding, hiking in the mountains, road trips, camping, skateboarding, attempting to surf, exploring coastlines, my family and friends.
I like my clients to know what to expect from me, that being said No I will not be the in your face hype woman. I can try and force that but trust me its awkward and uncomfortable for everyone! Being an introvert I take a laid back photo journalistic approach to my images capturing real candid moments as they unfold. When necessary I will guide you into natural authentic poses & positions to make those money shots for the grandparents mantelpiece and to capture the most flattering images of you with the best lighting.
If you have any questions about me or my photography approach please reach out! I look forward to creating some magic with you and making a new friend along the way!
5 guilty pleasures:
1.Icecream. I LOVE cookies & cream from Vancouver’s Earnest IceCream , if you dont know you should know! but don't put a pint in front of me because I will demolish it!
2. Beer, specifically porters and stouts however that depends on the season, come spring you will always find Phillips Blue Bucks in my fridge.
3. Disney movies, one of the best things about having nieces and a nephew are the excuse to catch up on all my Disney Characters. Moana that girl is a real badass!
4. Binge watching Netflix for hours on end. Sometimes I just need a full day of nothing and staying in my pj’s to decompress. some call it lazy , I call it relaxation ;)
5. I will get sucked into watching hours of "The Dodo" dog and animal rescue videos, talk about having a good cry.
